This notice explains what we keep, why, and what you can ask of us. It applies to this website, to enquiries and to the work we do together.

   Who we are

   Ombrelle Atelier, Lda. is an architecture and interiors practice registered in Lisbon at Rua das Janelas Verdes 42, 1200-690 Lisbon. In this notice, “we”, “us” and “the studio” mean Ombrelle Atelier.

   We are the controller of the personal information described here. If you have a question about this notice, write to privacy@ombrelle.example and a named person will reply.

   What we collect

   We keep the information you choose to give us, and a small amount of technical information needed to run this website.

   • Contact details you send through a form or by email: your name, email address, phone number and the message itself.
   • Project details from the enquiry form: type of project, location, budget range and timeline.
   • Correspondence and drawings exchanged during a project, kept in our project archive.
   • Basic server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested), kept for no longer than 30 days.

   How we use it

   We use your information to answer your message, to prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and to deliver and document the work we do together.

   We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We send a newsletter only to people who have asked for it, and every issue carries a one-click way out.

   Legal basis

   Where you contact us, we rely on our legitimate interest in replying to you. Where we work together, we rely on the contract between us. Where we keep records for tax and professional liability, we rely on a legal obligation. Where you subscribe to the newsletter, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

   Who we share it with

   We share information only with people who help us do the work, and only as much as they need:

   • Consultants on your project, such as engineers, surveyors and landscape specialists, under a duty of confidence.
   • Our email, file storage and accounting providers, under written data processing terms.
   • Public authorities, where planning or building law requires it.
6. 06

   How long we keep it

   Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after 24 months. Project records are kept for ten years after completion, the period during which we may be asked about the design and construction of a building.

7. 07

   Cookies

   This website uses one small preference stored in your browser to remember whether you chose the light or the dark theme. It contains no personal information and is never sent to us. We use no tracking or advertising cookies.

8. 08

   Your rights

   You may ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict how we use it, or to receive a copy in a portable format. You may also object to our use of it. We will answer within one month.

   If you are unhappy with our answer, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

9. 09

   Security

   Our files are stored with encryption at rest, access is limited to the people working on your project, and every studio account uses two-step sign-in. Paper drawings are kept in a locked archive in the studio.

10. 10

    Changes to this notice

    When we change this notice, we update the date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we will tell current clients by email before it takes effect.
