Statement
Table Studies began as a way to keep working through a wet winter. Every home I photographed that year had a table somewhere near its best window, and I started making one extra picture of it before I left.
The rule was that nothing could be lit except by the window, and nothing could be moved once the light had started to change. Some tables waited a week for the right afternoon.
